Artistic manipulation of images to create some fun for me and possibly develop some commercial interest in the compositions. Most every image on this page has been manipulated in Photoshop, Lightroom, and Painter. Since I am able to use a digital tablet , my hand and eye have a little more control over the outcome.
These are the types of work I do to relax and forget about the daily routine. The first seven images were created from photographs of a full moon. The black and white was an early morning photo in November and I used the tablet to digitally dodge and burn the image. It was a lot of fun, and kept me out of trouble for more than a few hours.
The third row, first position image is called "surroundings." I used one of the moon shots, "moonscape" as a background and then went into Corel Painter to create the various streams of color. When I was done, it was a 48" x 60" piece on canvas. The three images in the same row, next to "surroundings" are titled "curves", "shear" and vertical". These images were created from some shots I took of some folded canvas. I just started to play with lines, black, white and red. As I played, and saw some results, I was pleased with the outcome. I may still go back and inject some lights. All three images are 12" x 18" digital images.
The remainder of the images, from left to right, are titled "blue door", "colour", "trackside", "fire", "waterpark café", "memories of youth", "morning rain", "morning swim", "petals one", "petals two", "quarter to 3", "ruins", "serene", "trains", "untitled", "bean", "Illinois River Sunrise", "simple rose", "daisies", and "eye candy."
These are all digital media, and range in size from 50 x 20 down to 12 x 16. All are available for sale. If your are interested, and need more information contact us.
